Graphs for April 2026

We had one named storm this month. Storm Dave came through on the 4th resulting in a amber wind warning. The 2nd half of the month saw high pressure dominating resulting in a long dry spell with warm days but cold nights. There were outbreaks of wildfires again, closing the A470 for a while, and in the Elan valley. We heard the 1st Cuckoo of the year on the 20th.


The maximum recorded temp was 22.7 degrees at 12:00pm on the 7th. The minimum was 0.8 degrees at 5:20am on the 10th.


The maximum recorded sustained wind speed was 18mph. There was a gust of 39mph at 8:20pm on the 4th as storm Dave came through. Capel Curig recorded a gust of 93mph the same day.


Total rainfall this month was 3.13". There were 16 dry days.
