I had to go away on the 16th July and didn't return home until the 8th of August. Whilst I was away both my weatherstation and my webcam decided to stop communicating with my computer. If you have visited my site you would have noticed that the timestamps were correct but the data and the view were not changing. My apologies for that, but there was nothing I could do until I returned. Although Cumulus was no longer talking to the weatherstation I was able to retreive the data using Easyweather and with a bit of cut and paste have managed to create this months graphs. When this happens I have to do a hard reset of the weatherstation which means I may lose critical max/min data that cumulus uses to record monthly highs and lows and 'all time' records. There is nothing I can do about this. We had 2 named storms this month. Storm Ellen on the 20th and Storm Francis on the 25th. We also had thunder on the 10th.
![]() Storm Francis brought a significant pressure drop on the 24th-25th. From 1017.90mb to 985.90mb in 24 hrs. |
![]() The maximum recorded temp was 26.7 degrees at 2:30pm on the 15th. The minimum was 5.2 degrees at 3:10am on the 31st. |
![]() The maximum recorded sustained wind speed was 26mph.There was a gust of 44mph on the 21st,the day after Ellen, which was much windier. |
![]() Total rainfall of 10.74" this month. This is a record for August, beating 2008's total of 7.42". It must have been one of the wettest August's ever. Storm Francis brought 3.84" between 1:00am and 11:20pm. Peaking at around half an inch an hour at 1pm. There were 8 dry days. |
