We had two named storms this month. Both towards the end of the month. Storm Eowyn arrived on the 24th, closely followed by storm Herminia on the 26th which passed south of us. Rare Red warnings were issued and we had an emergency text from the Government. Eowyn was the strongest storm since 2015. Despite not having a white Christmas we had a little snow on the 2nd of January then more snow overnight on the 4th which quickly turned to rain. It snowed again on the 6th and 7th. It then remained cold enough that the snow didn't melt until we had hail on the 10th followed by a thaw.
