July started off cool and wet. By the 15th the Met Office said it was the coolest July since 2004. It gradually warmed up as the month progressed but remained unsettled with only one or two dry days in the week. Several frontal systems crossed Wales bringing cloud and rain, some of it heavy. It finally settled down in the last week of the month. Summer doesn't seem to have arrived yet.
